Monaco & Nice in 2 days
Traveling to Nice and Monaco has been an amazing experience.
We have done the Nice & Monaco trip in two days and have seen some amazing places.
Day 1 – Nice
On our first day we have arrived at Nice and went straight to Le Negresco hotel which is across the street from the beach and next door to the landscaped gardens of Musée Massena. Restaurants and shops are on your doorstep, while it’s a five-minute walk to the Old Town. This is a very historical hotel and because we really wanted our trip to be memorable, we have decided to stay there. One night at Le Negresco for two people will cost you around £150 but it is so worth it. This hotel first opened up in 1913 and honestly is was like staying at the museum. It is very beautiful. The fifth floor of the hotel is for “VVIP” guests, which stands for “very, very important persons”. Le Negresco also offers private beach just across the street from the hotel.
From Nice to Monaco we took the bus. The bus leaves every 15 minutes during the week, and every 20 minutes on Sundays and costs only 1.50Euros. It takes only 30mins to get to Monaco from Nice. I would suggest getting the window seat in the bus to see the best views on your way to Monaco. If you can afford it, hiring the car and going through the formula 1 drive way would be the best experience, but that time, we took the bus 🙂
I had to take the photo of this most expensive, 7EUR Red Bull 🙂
Day 2 – Monaco
Casino Monte-Carlo is a must see in Monaco.
The Casino building is very beautiful. You can enter the lobby and the jackpot area, but to enter the main casino you should put some deposit. You guys know my opinion on gambling, but I had to see this famous place and take some photos.
Soon you will walk your way to Monte Carlo Harbor. It is beautiful. We were so lucky to have amazing weather and be able to enjoy taking photos of yachts under the sun. The view in each direction is beautiful. You can not resit the opportunity to walk around the harbour looking at the multi million pound Mega Yachts. Some of them cost more than £200ml. Monte Carlo Hill has great views of the Harbour.
We have not spent a night in Monaco because it is way too expensive. I would suggest staying in Nice overnight and seeing Monaco the next day.
Overall, we loved our trip and would recommend anyone to visit Nice & Monaco.
