Meditation is one of the most underrated things that you can do when it comes to coping with stress and anxiety. When you meditate every day, you should find that your stress reduces overall, that you feel happier, and more creative. You should even notice a few more benefits come to fruition too. Meditation really is so important, even if you can only do 5 minutes in the morning and 5 minutes in the evening. It’s a chance to be still and get back in touch with your body and your inner guide.

  1. Eat Right And Exercise

Eating right and exercising is also going to help you to reduce stress and anxiety. Fueling your body with healthy foods and making sure it gets the exercise it needs will help you to feel more relaxed in everyday life. Walking is a great exercise, as it’s low impact and can help you to gain more clarity on things going on in your life, but you need to make sure you do it somewhere safe so you don’t suffer from a pedestrian injury or something similar. Find a type of exercise you enjoy and go out and do it.

  1. Assess Your Feelings And Reactions

A lot of what we feel, whether stress or another emotion, is all down to the stories we tell ourselves. You may be telling yourself things that aren’t really true and winding yourself up over things. Stop when somebody says something that makes you react and assess why you’re feeling the way you are. Does what your work colleague things really matter to you? Is there a better way you can react?  

  1. Take A Mental Health Day

More and more workplaces and becoming open to the idea of mental health days, which is great news. Why take a day off work when you’re sick, but not one when your brain is a little frazzled? It doesn’t make sense. Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean there isn’t a problem.

Beating yourself up is the last thing you want to do. Be kind to yourself and watch negative self talk. Now is the time to practice self love!

  1. Talk About How You Feel

Talk to somebody about how you feel, whether a close friend, or you actually decide to be open with the person who has upset you. Just make sure you avoid using judgmental statement, and watch how you word what you say.
