August Beauty Favourites
Blogs and Youtube videos about the beauty favourites is my thing. Yes, I love makeup and yes I collect it all the time. This is something that I have been doing from early teenage years. In todays world, you see cosmetic companies coming up with new products every single month, so it is really hard to keep up. Especially when you watch your favourite beauty guru on Youtube, you can not resist of trying the same products.
Writing this post, believe it or not, I have two different concealers under my eyes 🙂 I know, its 9pm!!!! tell me about it.. but this is what happens when you decide to become a blogger. Speaking of concealers, I have two favourites this month. I know they are not very new in the market, but truly, they are one of the best for my skin.
Catrice Luquid Camouflage retails for £3.50 and is the concealer that not a lot of people talk about. It is most probably the cheapest in the market at the moment for such a great quality. The concealer comes with a standard doe foot applicator in a lipgloss type tube. It claims to be 12 hours long wearing and water proof. I have had this product since the end of July and have really given it a good try. It definitely lasts for over 8 hours from my experience and is 100% waterproof. This never creases, even in a very hot days. I am really picky with concealers and I know that this one has done some great job and took me through a very hot summer! The best way to apply is with fingers as its quite thick and I find that it sticks to the beauty blender a lot.
The only downside to this product is that, it doest not come in a lot of shades, there are only 5 shades and all of them are quite light.
Maybelline FITme! retails for £4.50 and a lot of people talk about this! this was one of the reasons why I wanted to try it so much! This also comes in doe foot applicator. It is a bit thinner in consistency and the best way to apply is with beauty blender. It is doing a nice job, but its nothing compared to my Catrice Camouglage concealer. I would rather use this not under my eyes, but on small blemishes everywhere else on my face. Of course for the price, its is good!
Same downside to this one, it only comes in 4 shades, which is shame for Maybelline. Darker skin toned people would never be able to use it as a concealer.
This Instagrammable perfume retails for £47.50 for 30ml. The first fragrance developed wholly under Alessandro Michele’s creative vision. A scent designed to celebrate the authenticity, vitality and diversity of women—flourishing in a natural, expressive and individual way. It includes the following:
- Natural tuberose harvested from India
- Jasmine bud extract, obtained through an exclusive method of co-extraction to impart a fresh green and petal scent on the skin
- Rangoon Creeper, embodying the fragrance’s concept and name, the slightly powdery floral scent is captured as the flower blooms from white and gradually darkens to pink, then red
Last, but not least, I have always been collecting L’oreal lipsticks and this 646 nude is a new addition to my collection. This retails for £6.76. It glides on my lips perfectly and is quite long wearing as well. It is very difficult finding the right nude shade for me, but this one is is one of my favourites now.
So these were some of my favourites for the month of August. Have you guys tried anything from my beauty favourites yet? Please comment down below 🙂
