You are probably religiously washing your hands after the pandemic has started. I am not surprised, we all are. It has been crazy times since the last few months and washing hands has become a huge part of our daily lives. Not that it was not before, but literally washing our hands in every five minutes and sanitising them is the only thing we remember doing after everything, absolutely everything! To make sure we always keep our hands clean we also installed the wall hand sanitiser and no one is allowed to walk through the entrance without using it 🙂
The skin on the back of our hands is some of the thinnest, most fragile skin on our bodies. Frequent washing and sanitising can damage it, especially at this time of the year. Starting from autumn all the way to winter months, my hands are really dry and I have to use the hand cream to keep them moisturised. I have found couple of really helpful products which I thought would be great help for you too, they are really affordable as well.
My first pick is this Vivian Gray Wild Flowers Set which is very affordable for its luxury quality and when buying set you get both the cream soap and the hand lotion too. I have tested Vivian Gray hand soaps before too and they are truly amazing. They smell great, wash effectively, keep the hand moisturised and prevent skin from drying out. Plus, the bottles look very nice and I find it would be a great gift for any occasion. You can use both soap and cream for all skin types. All Vivian Gray products are made in Germany.
My second favourite is this Garnier Intensive 7 Days hand cream. This product is made of a Shea Butter and has a lovely soft scent. It moisturises your hands perfectly and gives them the nourishment they need. I am almost over one tube in couple of weeks, love it so much! It does not leave a greasy film and absorbs really quickly into the skin, regenerates, hydrates and prevents skin from drying out. This product is mostly for dry skin types. It comes in a tube as well which is very practical to just drop it in your handbag and take it with you all the time. This is the most pleasant hand cream I have ever used.
I also have written a blog post about hand soaps in case you would like to check this article out.
Just remember, our hands are our tools and taking care of them is super important. They are much more exposed to damage than any other part of our body. Water, chemicals and the sun are the main causes of damage to our hands and they are also one of the first places to show any signs of ageing.
Have you tried any of the recommended products? I would love to see your comments and suggestions too!
