Valentine’s Day, or St Valentine’s Day, is celebrated every year on 14 February. It’s the day when people show their affection for another person or people by sending cards, flowers or chocolates with messages of love. Do we really need a special day for that? I mean, I don’t know.. It is really up to your personality, but knowing the fact that there is a special day when you can celebrate love, is still very nice and it gives you another chance of impressing love to your loved ones.
Out of all the presents and special gifts, you know me, I would still choose my favourite scents. I really believe that the sense of smell is closely linked with memory, probably more so than any of our other senses. Those with full olfactory function may be able to think of smells that evoke particular memories; the scent of an orchard in blossom conjuring up recollections of a childhood picnic, for example. This can often happen spontaneously, with a smell acting as a trigger in recalling a long-forgotten event or experience. In addition to being the sense most closely linked to memory, smell is also highly emotive. The perfume industry is built around this connection, with perfumers developing fragrances that seek to convey a vast array of emotions and feelings, from desire to power, vitality to relaxation.
Well, that was a bit of an explanation behind the smell, wasnt it? Now, let me get to my faves for this Valentines Day Gifts for HER🙂
Zadig & Voltaire This is Her!
This is the new exciting perfume addition to my collection. When I say exciting, I mean the endless freedom of scents that goes behind the product. This is a subtly spicy, woody fragrance with a gourmand touch. It is made for women who are not afraid to stand out and is especially suitable for colder months. The beginning of this Eau de Parfum is marked by the floral essences of albizia and jasmine combined with delicate pink pepper. The sweet heart of Zadig & Voltaire This Is Her! hides an enchanting aroma of chestnut and warm vanilla accompanied by an irresistible note of whipped cream. In the drydown, you’ll notice warm notes of cashmere wood and sandalwood. The design of bottle is very simple and you would think that it won’t be anything special comparing to those perfumes that come in all those crazy designed packagings, but it is definitely very unique. I also heard that this perfume is often compared to many niche perfumes which are very expensive and is found as a dupe for many of them. Definitely a must have for a perfume collector!
Second one on my list is the Trussardi Donna Eau de Parfum for Women. This one is for elegant, sensual and confident women. Or for those who want to feel that way! similar to the first choice, this is also made for colder months. The Trussardi Donna Eau de Parfum for women was launched in 2011 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the brand. The simple design of the bottle fully corresponds with the fragrance itself, emphasising its pure, elegant and prominently feminine qualities. The gold metal lid acts as a crown, allowing you to feel like a queen under any circumstances. Top notes here are Yuzu & Fruity Notes. Oh, and did you know this one has a sensual aroma that will bring any man to his knees:)) so definitely go for it!
last, but not least is the Chloé NomadeEau de Parfum for Women. Bohemian, unrestrained, adventurous and unforgettable – what else can a person want to smell? when you go to the meanings of this words, you would want to smell the smell of adventure straight away right? at least for me thats how it works. Nomade has a top note of Mirabelle Plum. This is a distinctive floral chypre fragrance, for the elegant, free-thinking woman and is ideal for both everyday wear and special occasions. I personally think that this perfume can freely be the unisex one, because the other Chloé scents are quite floral, feminine and “cheerful”, this scent is certainly not. Nomade is tough, musky and has almost something masculine in it. it definitely has a heavier character.
So, how was your Valentine’s day this year? did you get anything special to your heart? did you gift anything special to your loved ones? I would love to read your comments.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
